Many years ago a farm existed in the leafy suburb of Craighall Park, Johannesburg. The charm of days gone by was noticed when the section know as 23 Hamilton Avenue was sold to the new owner in the early 2000’s and a dream was formed for it’s future. Today comfortable accommodation and a warm, friendly welcome is extended to travelers on holiday or business promising a home in the true sense of the word, when home is far away. Overnight or an extended stay, the touch of Africa atmosphere ensures a serene and quiet environment and an enjoyable and affordable interlude to a busy schedule. A cool haven on hot summer days. Winter mornings are a pure delight when the dining room fireplace creates a cheerful, snug ambience for guests to linger over an excellent breakfast.
The spacious, airy rooms are fully serviced daily to ensure that your accommodation is a pleasure to return to each day. All rooms are equipped with full bathrooms en-suite, 7 TV channels, complimentary tea/coffee facilities, Wi-Fi internet access, heaters and fans. A safe environment with secure partly covered parking available on the premises. Guests are provided with remote controls for easy access to / egress from the property at any time.
For your comfort the guest house is entirely non-smoking and a small, pleasant smoking area with seating is provided outside. Central to Randburg, Sandton, Rosebank, Hyde Park and the Johannesburg CBD. From OR Tambo airport experience a pleasant 15 minutes journey on the Gautrain to Sandton where transport can be found at any time for the short drive to Craighall Park. A 5 to 10 minute drive will take visitors to Wanderers for cricket matches, Ellis Park for soccer/rugby, Etv, M-Net and training centers such as Hacklebrook. Easy access to highways and shopping centres that offer every facility travellers could require. Should the need arise, clinics and hospitals are no more than 10 minutes away. There are many wonderful restaurants and take-away facilities in close driving proximity, including the popular continental Parkhurst outdoor cafés. Children over 12 are welcome. Regrettably our facility does not lend itself to being pet friendly. Credit cards are accepted with the exception of American Express.
