Situated in one of the oldest suburbs of Johannesburg with its many beautiful trees, Saxonwold is the most convenient of suburbs close to the business node of Rosebank, minutes from the highways and Gautrain Station. Our policy is to give our guests a personal service of the highest possible quality in comfortable accommodation and a beautiful garden where you will find peace and tranquility, with the sounds of many birds and aromas of some of the magnificently scented plants, particularly in spring. The house and garden have many original pieces of artwork which have become a talking point with so many of our guests. We pride ourselves in having learnt about the places of interest in Johannesburg to pass on to our guests if they are wanting to know more about our exciting and vibrant city. We will gladly organize tours, shuttles services and advise on good restaurants in the area.
Places of interest close by are The African Craft Market, Rosebank Sunday Rooftop Market, SA Museum of Military History, Johannesburg Zoo. Art Galleries such as The Goodman Gallery, David Krut, Kim Sacks, Everard Read and The Goethe Institute for German culture, politics and learning. Hotels nearby – the Westcliffe, The Grace, The Crowne Plaza Rosebank and The Hyatt Regency. Conference Centres – Alusani, Glenhove Conference Centre, Astrotec and Ashanti Gold Conference Centre. We are also within easy reach of excellent medical facilities – Donny Gordon Hospital, Rosebank Clinic, Centre for Sports & Orthopaedic Medicine, the Diabetic Centre and Clinic and the Oncology Centre in Oxford Road Parkwood. A full English and continental breakfast is served daily with a variety of fruit, breads, croissants, muffins and preserves. DSTV and Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the guest house. All credit cards accepted and children from 14+. No smoking indoors. Besides the 4 B&B rooms, we provide two self-catering suites. Suite 6 has a separate bedroom with a full bathroom en-suite and open plan lounge/dining area with kitchen facilities. Suite 5 is similar but also has a "Juliet balcony" practically in the Jacaranda tree and overlooking the garden. Both kitchen areas have two plate gas hobs, fridges and microwaves.
